The NIU MQi Pro is an electric smart scooter created by an innovative Chinese company that is founded by the former CTO ofΒ Baidu (the Chinese Google) and a former employee of Microsoft. Their purpose is to create a high quality electric scooter with the latest technologies and design.

The MQi Pro is a more powerful version of the widely popular MQi-Series.

NIU MQi series versions

The MQi-Series has a smaller and lighter design than the NQi-Series and is made for efficient zipping around busy urban areas. Compared with the old M-Series, the design has been improved to make the scooter lighter and stronger and the scooter is equipped with many new technologies for safety, comfort and efficiency.

We set out to build a single-rider vehicle that was both aesthetically pleasing and incredibly durable. Every element has been chosen to play a role in both the form and durability.

The scooter has a 1,200 watt Bosch electric motor for a top speed of 31 mph. The motor provides 110 Nm torque.

The MQi Pro has a removable 32 Ah lithium battery for a driving range of 50 miles. The battery is of the same type as the batteries in the Tesla Model S. NIU provides 2 years warranty on the battery.

Smart Scooter

The MQi Pro is a true smart scooter that connects to a smart phone. Everything from battery monitoring to GPS to ride history, the NIU app keeps the driver connected and up-to-date with the whereabouts and health of the MQi. The app provides in an anti-theft system that warns the driver when the scooter is moved. With GPS it is possible to track the position of the scooter in real time.

The scooter is equipped with an EBS (braking assist) braking innovation that provides a full-stop brake distance of 1.8 meters (from 12 mph).

The scooter is waterproof and can drive through water. The scooter is certified for aΒ 300mm wading height.

The MQi-Series has cruise control, parking assistant, a sensor based safety alert system and much more smart features.Β The scooter has a remote control to locate the scooter in the dark. When pressed, the scooter lights will turn on and the scooter will make a sound.

The scooter has a digital dashboard.

The scooter has two driving modes: Eco and Performance.

The scooter has aΒ Kinetic Energy Recovery SystemΒ (KERS) or regenerative braking in which energy from braking is returned to the battery.

The MQI-Series has many new features for safety which includes automatic LED lighting for the keyhole and a smart kick stand.

The MQi-Series has a 360Β° Light Halo around the scooter to improve safety for pedestrians while driving in crowded urban areas during the night.

The MQi Pro is available in many colors.
