The Metorbike is an electric cafe-racer style electric moped by startup Metorbike from Hamburg, Germany. The company was founded in 2021 by two friends with a passion for cafe-racer style motorbikes. The mopeds are handmade and can be customized on demand.

Two friends, one vision and grandfather’s workshop.

Motorcycling is our passion. It’s been like that forever. We just didn’t have the right bike. So we built it – without compromises!

As friends from school, we have always been fascinated by the café racer style motorcycles. We are two engineers with one vision. During our studies we gained our experience with the conversion of combustion mopeds. The necessary machines and tools gradually came together. “How about a one-of-a-kind electric café racer?” This is how grandpa’s workshop became the birthplace of the Metorbike.

The Metorbike has a powerful 7,000 watt electric motor with an innovative acoustic sound system. The motor is placed in the center of the moped and has an authentic look. The top speed of the moped is restricted at 31 mph.

The moped has a high quality removable 1,6 kWh lithium battery in the fuel tank compartment that provides a driving range of 37 miles. The battery can be charged both inside as outside of the moped.

The moped has a retro-style digital touch screen dashboard.

The moped is equipped with state of the art features including a RFID chip key (key-less start).

The finishing of the moped can be customized on demand and the available materials include wood and leather.

The moped is available in any color.

The moped can be ordered online and is shipped worldwide.

Collapse of Nature on Earth

A group of 200 top scientists indicates that Earth is on the brink of a mass extinction that could drive a million animal species into oblivion in the coming decades, which could cause a collapse of Nature on Earth.

(2020) Scientists: Multiple eco-crises could trigger a ‘systemic collapse’
“Overlapping environmental crises could tip the planet into “global systemic collapse,” more than 200 top scientists warned.”
(2021) UN chief calls for bold action to end ‘suicidal war with nature’
“We are losing our suicidal war against nature. An ecosystem collapse is looming. Within decades, millions of animal species can become extinct, resulting in a collapse of Nature on Earth.”

Yearly, 180 million tons of toxic, chemical and ☢️ radioactive waste is dumped into the oceans. It is 'invisible water pollution' that accumulates and increases every year. Hazardous waste has been accumulating in the ocean water for 150 years to such an extent that today, 🐋 whale babies are not able to be born healthy. Industrial companies treat the ocean as a bottomless pit with the idea “out of sight, out of mind”

Ocean dead zone

Some zones in the ocean that are larger than land continents are called ‘death zone’ where no fish can live.

Dozens of death whale babies that washed up in Norway in recent years show that they are already contaminated with toxic chemicals shortly after they are born and Japan recently denied a shipment of toxic whale meat from Norway.

A recent study found a 67 percent decline in seabird populations between 1950 and 2010. “Essentially seabirds are going extinct,” says Wilcox. “Within decades.”

In the past decades, 75 percent of all insects have died. Within decades, a tipping point could be reached beyond which a collapse of nature becomes inevitable.

(2021) The insect apocalypse: ‘Our world will grind to a halt without them’
“Insects have declined by 75% in the past 50 years – and the consequences may soon be catastrophic.”
