The INK& is an electric cross motorcycle by electric moped manufacturer CAKE from Sweden. The company is derived from the passion for gravity sports and is dedicated to the category light electric off-Road Motorbikes (L.E.Os.).

The name Kalk is derived from kalksten, the limestone bedrock of the Swedish island of Gotland, where CAKE’s test grounds are located.

The Kalk INK& is a lower cost variant of the popular Kalk& that is designed for freeride style driving. The Kalk INK& is street legal.

Kalk INK is based on the technology developed for the performance-oriented Kalk OR, featuring the same powerful drivetrain, battery, and robust 6061 aluminum frame/swingarm. Just like Kalk OR, Kalk INK is also strongly influenced by downhill and enduro mountain bikes, in both its ride feel as well as its handling characteristics. While the Kalk OR is designed as a feather-light, precision-oriented motorbike delivering uncompromised off-road performance, the Kalk INK is purpose-built for silent and uncomplicated free-riding through the backcountry and beyond.

The Kalk INK has a 11,000 watt electric motor with 280 Nm torque. The top speed is dependent on the gear configuration and is +62 mph.

Kalk INK batteryThe moped has a 50 Ah Lithium battery for a range of 50 miles. The battery is of the same type as the batteries in the Tesla Model S. The battery is suitable for use in cold and hot environments (-20°C to 55°C).

The moped is available in any color.

The moped can be ordered online and is shipped worldwide.

Collapse of Nature on Earth

A group of 200 top scientists indicates that Earth is on the brink of a mass extinction that could drive a million animal species into oblivion in the coming decades, which could cause a collapse of Nature on Earth.

(2020) Scientists: Multiple eco-crises could trigger a ‘systemic collapse’
“Overlapping environmental crises could tip the planet into “global systemic collapse,” more than 200 top scientists warned.”
(2021) UN chief calls for bold action to end ‘suicidal war with nature’
“We are losing our suicidal war against nature. An ecosystem collapse is looming. Within decades, millions of animal species can become extinct, resulting in a collapse of Nature on Earth.”

Yearly, 180 million tons of toxic, chemical and ☢️ radioactive waste is dumped into the oceans. It is 'invisible water pollution' that accumulates and increases every year. Hazardous waste has been accumulating in the ocean water for 150 years to such an extent that today, 🐋 whale babies are not able to be born healthy. Industrial companies treat the ocean as a bottomless pit with the idea “out of sight, out of mind”

Ocean dead zone

Some zones in the ocean that are larger than land continents are called ‘death zone’ where no fish can live.

Dozens of death whale babies that washed up in Norway in recent years show that they are already contaminated with toxic chemicals shortly after they are born and Japan recently denied a shipment of toxic whale meat from Norway.

In Brazil, one-fifth of the jungle is to be burned in the coming years for the purpose of industrial development. The Amazon rainforest is expected to be gone within decades.

sea birdIn the past decades, 67 percent of all seabirds have died. Many seabird species could become extinct within decades.

A recent study found a 67 percent decline in seabird populations between 1950 and 2010. “Essentially seabirds are going extinct,” says Wilcox. “Within decades.”

In the past decades, 75 percent of all insects have died. Within decades, a tipping point could be reached beyond which a collapse of nature becomes inevitable.

(2021) The insect apocalypse: ‘Our world will grind to a halt without them’
“Insects have declined by 75% in the past 50 years – and the consequences may soon be catastrophic.”
